i agree i like twilights 1st person it makes me love edward lol, the vamp diaries is good too but its not the same although alot of things are similar, there is more drama and i believe theres still book coming out on vamp diaries, i wish stephanie would publish midnight sun and continue the saga as well lol

Well, I think that Vampire Diaries has more drama, and more action. BUT, Twilight saga shows more love, and has Bella and Edward in a tighter love bind. I don’t think either ripped off of the other. There is alot of differences. I ejoyed reading both of the books’ stories.

I was talking about the show, not the book . I know the book came out first but In case you didn’t notice, the VD storyline in the show is very different. Besides, I was talking about the physical appearances of the actors they chose for the show which has nothing to do with which book was written first..

In VD the vampires are more human like and can interact with humans more than Twilight. Real vamps shouldn’t sparkle it just looks strange.

@simoneaw Yes I did read Twilight, and i think it was pretty obvious i was referring to Edward, who everybody knows its potrayed as ‘perfect’.

Between the shows I’m going to be watching both cos I’m a sucker for vampire stories. But Twilight does have the disadvantage because you can only fit that much in a 2-hour movie.
But to be honest, I think the VD producers or casting director was copying Twilight, Elena in the book had pale golden hair, blue eyes. I’m guessing they wanted the comparisons to begin and kickstart the series.

Between books: Twilight and VD are totally different genres. One is a romance novel, the other is more of a mystery/thriller.
Twilight’s more personal because it reads from only 1 person’s point of view so it’s easy to get pulled into Bella’s character and the intensity of their relationship.
VD is exciting, but too many characters and no bigger plot to the entire vampire-witch-werewolf-ghost mix just doesn’t cut it for me. I actually prefer storyline of VD show compared to the book.

It’s makes me so mad as well that everyone is freaking out about this entire VD thing I mean yeah they seem alike, but really?! They are so different I mean Stefan will actually have sex with Elena, BEFORE they are “married,” and Elena doesn’t even want to be changed so really? Not even closely related.

When I saw VampDs on my TV I loved it, espically when Damon mocked Twilight.
The facts is that the books are completly different, with witchcraft, blooddrinking and a popular, determined ice queen heroine persuded by two Italian renassance brothers VS a book with sporks, overdescriptive cars and a selfish, clumsy girl followed by her discoball lover and wolfbuddy
All in all VampDs are a better book series but the show makes it look Twi.ish to appeal to the prepubecent fangirls
